About

Third Glance Collective was founded in 2025 to create a space for storytelling with the power to create real change.

The third glance means understanding stories in a profound way. At first glance, we tend to take a surface-level view of things. Upon a second look, we might adopt a perspective that goes beyond dominant narratives. To us, the third glance is essential: it fosters the creation of deepened understandings that connect lived experiences to wider, systemic contexts. It attempts to understand the nuances and complexities of the human experience in all its fullness.

Documentary films are keys to the third glance, transporting us to the lives of those who push for justice.

Purpose & Vision

We are collaborative platform for documentary filmmaking striving for equity and inclusion. Using anthropological research, we spotlight stories of those pushing for change. We believe that documentary filmmaking is a powerful tool for social and cultural transformation. Research when combined with documentary making can amplify unseen or silenced stories and challenge dominant narratives. We seek to inspire dialogue, mobilize awareness, and inspire collective action towards a more inclusive and equitable future.
